Upcoming Events
Dear Saltonstall Families,
I hope you are all having a great season and are already enjoying the extra hour of sunlight. I promise you that spring will be here soon!
I am writing to share information with you about upcoming events.
First: a reminder that tonight we will have a Free Dinner hosted by ROOT here in the cafeteria from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Come and enjoy. Also today will be our Latino Family meeting from 6:00pm to 7:30. If you are able, take advantage of the dinner at 5 and then join me in the auditorium. Tonight, in addition to the calendar of events, we will be talking about family circles to empower the school and community, the use of inappropriate words by children/youth and how they are affecting our school and comments on the Salem Public Schools budget for 2025. Join me tonight!
Tomorrow, Thursday, March 14, at 6:00pm is the monthly ELPAC and Multilingual Family Group Meeting of our School District. See the attached flyer for more information.
This Friday, March 15, our school district will be posting report cards in the ASPEN program.
On Wednesday, March 20, we will be offering family and teacher conferences from 12:30pm to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Teachers will be posting their schedules here on parent sq. so you can make your appointment. Please let us know if you need an interpreter.
Then, on March 28th we will be holding our Curriculum Night and Talent Show from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Join us for our annual event where our students will be presenting their talents and other skills related to our school curriculum. Also present will be some organizations and we will be serving a light meal. If you haven’t heard about this event, ask your student about participating. Auditions were held today during our school day. see attached flyer for more information.
Also, we need your cooperation for this last event. We are looking for donations of salad trays, veggies and other items to share with the families attending this event. Please access this link to make your donation:

Finally, this Sunday, March 17, our Irish community will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. The city of Boston will have a grand parade as it does every year. Join us in celebrating our Irish heritage this Friday and wear something green, or if you prefer, you can also wear something from the Boston Celtics basketball team. And next week our District will be celebrating Inclusive School Spirit Week. Let’s celebrate our Diversity!
As always, if you have any questions about any of these or other events please do not hesitate to contact us. I wish you a happy rest of the week.

I apologized but I have been informed that we will not have Family-Teachers Conferences but We will have Students Portfolios instead. What that means is that you will come and your student will show you their class portfolio and will speak to you about what they have been doing in class. You do not need to make and appointment but you still need to text me or email me if you need an interpreter. Just come between 12:30 to 3:00pm or 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Thank you for your understanding.
